My poor hands are hurting so much all the time.

I was diagnosed with inflammation arthritis back in September.  To top it off, I also have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome which got drastically worse when I got pregnant with my youngest child (2.5 years old.)  I have been toughing it out because the idea of shots or surgery were a bit scary.  I remember my older brother having the surgery when I was 16, and he was miserable.

Well, I went to the hand doctor yesterday, and I have to have another test done, but she is talking like surgery is a necessary.  Since I do not want to end up with permanent nerve damage, I am going to go ahead and do it.  Guess what, the procedure has gotten MUCH easier in the last 20 years.  Shocking, huh?  It looks like I will have a 2 week period of no throwing pottery.  I hope to schedule it ASAP, while I orders are slow.

I am actually a little excited by the idea of being in less pain on a daily basis!
